Country Thunder Sign The biggest of his kind. Country Thunder USA Arizona 2002 from April 25th - 28th at the Schnepf Farm in Queen Creek (east of Phoenix, south of US 60), broke records - not only in numbers but also in my high expectations.
It was not only an incredible country music festival, it was an amazing happening - starting every day in front of the huge stage and ending at the gigantic campgrounds late at night.

It showed the roots and the pride of this country and the people living here. A happening of emotions and believe. The biggest of his kind I have seen.

The stars. 28 (twentyeight!) bands and stars flooded the 4-day open-air-area with great country music hits. Successful local runner-ups (like Melody Dunn & Desert Sky, Rhondavous) started the daily music sessions but most of the more than 40,000 country music fans (that's my guess) from all over the world came to see the famous stars.

You can see a list of the stars, links, infos, their tophits and most famous CDs at the end of the story or click here.

Congrats to the organization. There is no doubt that it takes a lot of work from an experienced team to make an event like this a great event. But even the best preparation can not prevent some 'inconvenient situations'. What raises great service above good service is how annoying moments get handled.
I give the organization five stars for fast and perfect handling of these inconveniences - especially the hard working ladies at the 'VIP-ticket/info center'. I will be back next year!

The photos. Enjoy the pics, get a glimpse of a great festival and a touch of the fun and the music shows.
